Mehreen Hussain: SEW-EGAP Executive  Council, USA International Wing:

Mehreen 1

Mehreen is an executive education/training management and general management professional. She has 20 plus years of experience in management and executive education.

Mehreen was Associate Dean, Executive Education Services at Karachi School for Business and Leadership (KSBL), Karachi, Pakistan that was set up in collaboration with Judge Business School, Oxford University, UK and was Director of the Rausing Executive Development Center (REDC) at the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Lahore Pakistan. She held various leadership  positions for overseeing the Rausing Executive Development Center and executive programs of the business school at LUMS. She has managed programs for owners of local businesses, entrepreneurs and has administrated leadership programs as well as  innumerable capacity building programs for a variety of industries and sectors from conceptualization to delivery. She has run programs in Pakistan, UAE, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia. She was LUMS representative to the UNICON Executive Education Consortium, USA for almost 12 years.

Mehreen has special interest in programs for people with autism and is trained in the Son-Rise Program, Autism Treatment Center of America, USA. She launched, directed, taught and administrated Son-Rise Program based Train-the-Trainer programs for trainers/facilitators working with children with autism in Lahore, Pakistan

Mehreen has an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan and is currently based in Carlsbad, California in USA with her 2 children. Her current areas of interest apart from executive education and leadership capacity building are social entrepreneurship for job creation and workforce development, technology in education, adult education, services for and training of adults with autism, eradicating poverty and hunger as well as promoting the rights of the vulnerable segments of society.


 

 

Sadaf Abid: SEW-EGAP Executive Council, U.A.E. International Wing:

5Sadaf Abid holds two Master’s Degrees; Management of Development (Turin School of Development/United Nations, Turin, Italy) and English – Literature and Language (Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan). She is currently serving as certified lead trainer/consultant to international and national missions (ITCILO). She has been working in South Asia, Middle East and Europe with international organizations: International Labor Organization (ILO) – a specialized agency of the United Nations Organization, GIZ (German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation) operating in many fields across more than 130 countries, International Training Centre of the ILO – the training arm of ILO (United Nations), and the Government of Pakistan. The portfolio of working with these organizations consists of designing, implementing, training and evaluating national development projects related to SME development, youth entrepreneurship, women empowerment, poverty alleviation, and education (teacher training, curriculum development, etc.

She has been providing technical advice and services on: entrepreneurship; reform of training system, capacity building of institutions, and skills for poverty reduction and economic empowerment with emphasis on education. She has excellent interpersonal, communication, and training skills.  Primarily committed to conceptualizing frameworks for sustainable development of projects in developing countries along with management of change in complex and exponential times. Previous roles include providing consultancy to development agencies, and working as a lecturer,  editor, speaker, scriptwriter and TV show anchor (socio-political). Predominantly keen on generating ideas for fiction writing and documentary movies.


 

Fizza Rizvi: SEW-EGAP Executive Council, Singapore International Wing:

picFizza lives in Singapore. She completed her MBA from LUMS (Lahore University of Management Sciences) and then worked in the corporate sector for 5 years before she had to move countries. She took a career break to stay home with her kids, and always knew that whatever she decides to pursue next will have to do with how people operate. This led her to complete her coach training last year and she is now working towards an international certification as a coach. Her personal preference is in the area of life coaching as it enables her to empower people to take charge of their lives and live more powerfully. She loves her work as it also allows her to continuously learn about herself as well and apply it to her everyday life. Other than that, she works part time for a European business group and volunteers for social causes from time to time. Being a mother, she loves to spend time with her kids and has recently ventured into yoga and meditation as well


 

Rabia Shahid: SEW-EGAP Executive Council, Australia International Wing:

Rabia ShahidAn NCA (National College of Arts) from Lahore, Rabia kick started her career from teaching at her college and then she moved to work with property developers in Dubai. She got an opportunity to migrate to Australia in 2005 to Sydney and has settled there for the past 10 years.

Much to her surprise and beyond the capabilities she thought she had, Rabia scored a job position at Cochlear. Along with the job, she completed post graduation in Urban Planning from University of Sydney in 2012. Having worked for Cochlear for almost 9 years, Rabia works in the capacity of Supply Chain Analyst. At Cochlear, she is working on business projects to analyse competitive market in healthcare industry in Pakistan to achieve greater customer experience, operational excellence and to be the voice for Pakistanis all over.

Rabia is a freelance urban planner, providing consultancy for development projects. While still working for Cochlear, Rabia is a part time MBA student at Macquarie Graduate School of Management; graduating in December 2016.


 

Seher Ashfaq Asghar: SEW-EGAP Executive Council, France International Wing:

Sehar Ashfaq AsgharSeher is a management professional with over 7 years of experience, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the Arizona State University.  She has previously worked as an independent contractor with one of the largest Real Estate brokers by volume in the U.S. and, most recently helped set up and take-off a children’s enrichment and development facility for a New York based franchise. She is currently taking a break from work as her family takes on an expatriate assignment in France and embraces the challenge of learning a new language. She plans to pursue a Master’s degree in the future. And, aspires to be able to make a difference in the life of others in whatever little way she can, as she feels that is what gives life its true meaning.


 

Maryam Ijaz: SEW-EGAP Executive Council, Malaysia International Wing:

UntitledMaryam Ijaz is currently working as Business Executive with Sing-Tel for the last 3 years. She has completed her MBA in Finance and Marketing. The blend of creativity which led her to discover her alternate side was in the world of fashion designing. She has explored a vast dimension of creativity designing bridal, casual, formal clothing line for women in western market. She is keener in learning new facts of life as every day is a new way to exploration.

 

 


 

Rahma Asif: SEW-EGAP Executive Council, UK International Wing

Rahma 1Rahma has a teaching experience of over 15 years, Rahma’s diverse background and life experiences provide natural connections with students and allow her to encourage them to take education passionately. Rahma has worked in over 25 schools in England and is currently living and working as a full time teacher in England, U.K.

Rahma’s speciality is English, having attained her Masters in English Language and Literature degree in First from Government College University Lahore, Pakistan, she went on to achieve another Post Graduation Certification in Education from Bradford College in England. Prior to teaching in England, she has had the opportunity to teach O/A Levels in Doha,Qatar, American International School and American School of International Academics, Lahore. She has also worked as a deputy headteacher in The Lahore Lyceum.Outside of academia, Rahma engages herself in reading and writing for pleasure as she is truly passionate about books and possesses a voracious appetite for knowledge.
